"Air-Conditioning and Heat Transfer Fluids" |
|||
|
Welcome to FinWorks Technology, a division of Metalloid Corporation. |
|||
| Our core competency is the formulation of superior quality Fin Stamping and Copper Bending Lubricants. | |||
| Fin Stamping Lubricants | FinWorks
Technology provides an advanced line of fin stamping lubricants that
include vanishing and
synthetic technologies.
FinWorks vanishing fluids are wettable, paintable and miscible with R-22, R-134-A and 400 series refrigerants and will draw a wide range of collar heights while providing good tool protection. FinWorks synthetic fluids are designed to eliminate VOC's within the plant, draw a wide range of collar heights and provide superior tooling protection.

Tube Bending and Expanding Lubricants |
FinWorks tube bending and expanding lubricants are designed for non-cleaning systems. FinWorks offers a line of synthetic fluids designed to be left in the tubes and are miscible with R-22 refrigerants. The product line also includes advanced technologies for the new generation refrigerants such as R-134-A and 400 series. These advanced products are miscible without cleaning. | ||
| Corrosion Resistance | All FinWorks Technology products are formulated to include added corrosion resistance, utilizing ArmorCoiltm technology. | ||
| ArmorCoiltm |
ArmorCoilTM is an advanced formulation that provides superior corrosion inhibition and will provide the following benefits: Resists bacterial, fungus, molds and associated odors Prevents formicary & galvanic corrosion, leaks & system failures Protects system components from rust & deterioration Improves water release from evaporators & improves coil performance Lubricates any surface it is applied to |

|
Laboratory |
All formulations are evaluated at independent laboratories
to ensure that the lubricants do not form unacceptable formic or acetic acid
levels. Formulations are also evaluated and must pass an in-house Formitron Test. |
||
| Formitron Test |
The Formitron Test is designed to subject materials that are commonly used in the construction of HVAC fin/tube heat exchangers to the conditions and environment necessary to rapidly promote corrosive attack by the mechanisms widely believed to cause formicary (ant’s nest) corrosion, which manifests as tunneling pits in the copper.
